Enjoy classic South Texas style dove hunting over harvested and plowed grain fields, around stock tanks or natural dove “flyways” near stands of dove weed. Most of our leased fields are within 10-15 minutes of the lodge and are easy access. Guides will provide fold-up stools and Mojo dove decoys to hunt over. Dove hunting trips begin around 3:00pm and end at dusk.

Here are a few suggestions to make your trip more fun:
- Game bags/belts are great for carrying your ammunition, birds and for picking up spent shells. If you don’t own one, we can provide it for you.
- Early season dove hunting is notoriously hot. We will have plenty of water on hand. Please make sure you carry plenty with you.
- If you bring your own dogs, make sure they have plenty of water to drink and to help cool off with. Wet their ears and the pads of their feet often and make them rest between retrieves.
- Gun safety is imperative and unsafe gun handling will not be tolerated. Always be aware of where your fellow hunters are and especially be aware of our dogs. They are like our children and we are extremely protective of them. Do not shoot over the dogs!!
NOTE: Texas law requires all hunters born on or after September 2, 1971 to have successfully completed a hunter education course to legally hunt in the State of Texas. This is a 10-hour course.
